Last year we launched footwear designers a challenge in the form of a contest. To use our Mind ShoeDesign Software to produce a conceptual model subject to the theme “Sustainability”.
We had more then 400 downloads of our free software (participation on the contest was totally free) and from those got 29 valid participation's that were evaluated by a jury comprised of members of the promoting entities, Mind, Shoelutions Lda., CTCP - Portuguese Footwear Technological Centre, APICCAPS Associação Portuguesa de Calçado and two experienced footwear specialists: Mariana Costea and Mark Dube.
Now is the time to reveal the results. The winner is Raluca Lupu a student from the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași – with the concept named “Reinvented Sneaker”. Second place belongs to Catarina Santos and in third place to Eric Medeiros.
The jury decided to also give three honorable mentions to Urma Alexandru, Corina Galai and Paulo Silva.
