Mind delivers integrated productivity in footwear design, engineering and leather cutting

Mind is exhibiting at SIMAC 2019, February 20 - 22, in Milan, Italy.
Together with Zünd, the Swiss manufacturer of digital cutters, Mind will be presenting integrated cutting solutions for high-performance leather cutting. Mind will exhibit also its new versions of MindCAD 2D/3D solutions for footwear design and engineering.

In Industry 4.0 in general and modern leather cutting, barrier-free data flow is key to establishing efficient production workflows. For customers looking for a complete software solution including nesting and cutting control, Mind and Zünd exhibits its all-encompassing leather-cutting systems, integrated with MindCUT software.
MindCUT software automatically optimizes cutting contours and cut paths depending on the material used as well as the choice of tools. With the integrated nesting function, parts are laid out on the leather automatically, which ensures optimal material usage. In view of rising leather prices and limited availability, optimum material utilization is essential for economical leather cutting.

Another critical factor is the time required for cutting the material. Zünd D3 series, in conjunction with the projection system for visualizing cut parts and MindCUT software, is the ideal cutting solution for customers looking for highly automated, ultra-productive leather cutting.
